Board of Directors
Family Support Line’s Board of Directors is made up of dedicated, passionate individuals from the community who volunteer their time to support the agency’s mission.
They meet 5 times a year and serve on Board committees to provide valuable leadership, oversight, and strategic planning to the organization.
The Board members also serve as ambassadors for Family Support Line, representing the organization at community events and helping to raise awareness of Family Support Line in the community.
Every Board member generously donates their valuable time, talent, and resources.
Term of Office
Board members are elected to a 3-year term. There are no term limits.
The Board meets on the third Wednesday of the month in September, November, January, March, and June.
Board members contribute to Family Support Line in many valuable ways. Members are requested to personally donate monetarily to the board appeal or by attendance at events.
Board members recruit new donors toward Family Support Line’s mission by reaching out to friends, family, co-workers, and colleagues to contribute directly through financial or in-kind donations by providing goods and services, or by supporting Family Support Line’s grant funding requests.
Most committees meet 5 – 6 times per year in the off months of the full Board meetings. All members are requested to be on at least one committee; many serve on 2 or more. Several committees include non-Board members and volunteers.
Often our committee members move on to become Board members. Ask about this option as a way to support our work and to assess if Family Support Line is a good fit for you.
